From Follett - Forensic anthropologist Ruth Galloway, is shocked when she finds out her old friend, Dan Golding, has died unexpectedly, but when she receives a letter from Dan dated before his death, he states that he has discovered an extraordinary archeological find but he fears for his life, but when Ruth is asked to examine the bones Dan had found, they disappear.
